Dee-licious Comeback Dodger Win Over White Sox in 10

It was a happy fathers day for Dodger dads all around, but it was especially sweet for Tom Gordon, Dee’s dad, who’s son hit the walk-off hit in the 10th inning.

Chris Capuano had another phenomenal start. He went 8 innings and gave up just 1 earned run on 6 hits and 12 K’s!

The Dodgers were down 1 run going into the 9th after being screwed on a bad call by umpire crew, which erased a Matt Treanor score and got Don Mattingley kicked out. They said he tagged up too soon on a sac fly to right, but the replay clearly showed otherwise.

Anyway, the Dodgers tied it in the 9th with an Abreu run on a Juan Rivera sac fly and got 2 dominant innings by Ronald Belisario.

In the 10th, the Dodgers caught a break on a line drive hit by Tony Gwynn Jr. which was misplayed by left-fielder Jordan Danks and allowed him to get to third base on what should have been a single. With 2 outs, Dee Gordon, who had a bad at-bat his previous time up with a chance to win it, ended up being the hero of the day by slapping a base hit to left field on an outside pitch.

And oh yeah, had Andre Ethier not made 3 top-10 plays in the game, it would have been a very different story.

This was the Dodger’s 31st 1-run game of the season, putting them at 18-13 in games like these.

The Dodgers now go to to Oakland for 3.

I’m loving interleague!
